Your wool coat deserve proper care to stay looking their best. Follow these steps to clean them safely without causing damage.
Use a garment brush to remove surface lint, dust, and pet hair. Brush in long downward strokes following the nap of the wool.
For fresh stains, blot (never rub) with a cloth dampened with cold water and a drop of wool-safe detergent. For oil stains, sprinkle cornstarch and let it absorb overnight.
Hang the coat and steam it with a garment steamer. The steam freshens the wool, kills bacteria, and relaxes wrinkles without water damage.
For a full wash, fill a bathtub with cold water and wool-safe detergent. Submerge the coat, gently press (don't agitate), soak for 30 minutes, rinse, and press out water.
Lay the coat flat on clean towels. Reshape while damp and let it dry away from direct heat. This can take 24-48 hours.
